Why the #LightSkinBattle Is Not As Real As It Could Be
When we last checked on the Tyga and Chris Brown vs. Drake debacle, the ex-Young Money star Tyga is as relevant as ever with his baby mother’s new best friend, Amber Rose, sending shots. He’s also now dealing with former label mate Drake casting stones as well.
Drizzy’s new mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, is doing absurd numbers, and on it, some of the aforementioned stones were cast. Fast-forward to where it seems like Tyga literally tagged in his somewhat new partner-in-crime, Chris Brown, who already has had his tiffs with Drizzy in the past to handle his dirty work.
Tyga & Chris Brown
Tyga and Chris Brown have just begun their marketing campaign for their newly released project Fan Of A Fan: The Album, stemming from their successful collaborative mixtape, Fan Of A Fan, 2010. After viewing the separate Tyga and Chris Brown interviews on the Breakfast Club and both Hot 97 interviews they did together, it doesn’t seem like they are promoting their album that dropped on February 20.
In every interview, Drake and Kylie Jenner were mentioned repeatedly. In the two most recent, Chris Brown takes multiple jabs at Drizzy. Whenever questions get thrown his or Tyga’s way, he’s consistent in being quick to deflect them all, replying with, “Man, talking about that guy cuts me no check. If me talking about him made me some money I would be all about it, but other than that we’re just making him hot and getting his rating up.” Well if C-Breezy took two minutes to read my https://killingthebreeze.com/drake-top-world-just-chillin/ piece, he’d come to the conclusion that Drizzy is in a lane of his own and needs no one’s assistance.
The one time CB doesn’t actually duck a Drizzy response he takes an ultimate shot at him…and of course it involves Ri-Ri. When discussing Rihanna’s new found relationship with “Wolf Of Wall Street” megastar Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris mentioned how that was the only route she could have taken that was better than himself — he also added, “Rihanna don’t want some corny singing rapper”… ooo burn.
Drake
Drake must have caught wind of all the low blow’s he’s been receiving. During a show out in Auckland, New Zealand, Drizzy was quick to fire back. In his new track titled “Energy” he normally would spit ” I got RAP n****s that I gotta act like I like…” But on Sunday Drake switched the lyrics up with ” I got R&B n****s that I gotta act like I like…” GOOD ONE DRIZZY!
Wonder if this #LightskinBattle will ever actually elevate to something real, like actually seeing Drake “Catching the fade from Brown” as Tyga tweeted earlier. But I doubt it. Therefore I doubt I’ll be following this story any further…for now.
