The Reality of Caitlyn Jenner
A Twitter bot named @she_not_he has been activated to correct users who misgender Caitlyn Jenner. Whenever users refer to Jenner in their tweets using the pronoun “he,” the bot will tweet a response reminding them to use Jenner’s now-preferred female pronouns.
I must say that when I make peace with myself I don’t get twitter technology nor the cover of Vanity Fair, but I’m not Caitlyn Jenner and it’s not my journey. As a libertarian-leaning liberal, I say to each her own. Caitlyn Jenner is who she claims to be. She’s actually living the American dream in the fact that she’s gone from where she didn’t want to be to where she did through nothing but her own self determination. I’m glad she is at peace with herself. The public’s reaction can be classified into four categories:
HE Will Burn In Hell
“Caitlyn” should be condemned as a perversion, and so should the culture for glorifying her mental illness. Sick people need treatment, not self-mutilation.
This Is Only The Beginning
Caitlyn should be celebrated as a pioneer. She gained great fame and acclaim displaying masculinity as a man who was ultimately brave enough to be who she really felt she was the whole time. People should be free to be who they want.
This Is Weird
Bruce Jenner was someone whom the country’s knew for decades as a man and who came to fame as a world-class athlete. But if it makes her happy, what’s the harm? Jenner’s always been likable and appears to have been tormented by her dual identity for decades.
Uh-Oh
How is Kris Jenner going to handle the competition embodied by her hotter-looking sister-husband? Will these two gals end up scratching out each others eyes out or clawing off one another’s faces when the argument inevitably arises over who’s prettier? How will the rest of the Kardashians bear under the strain of being wickedly out-glammed by their sister-father? Stay tuned.
