Welcome to the first episode of the Blackitics podcast. Weekly, co-hosts Kwaisi France, Richard Hazel, Dr. Bamidele Olatobosun, and Walter Shelton promote their own unique political views by suggesting worthwhile negotiations the black community should engage in, laws and policy of interest to black people, and what effective resistance to the prevailing status quo looks like for black people in America.
Blackitics: The Black Vote
This week’s episode focused on the history and power of the black vote amidst the backdrop of the 2020 election including why and whether that vote should go to the Democratic Party, the “disaffected” black and latino male affinity for Trump and opposition towards Kamala Harris, and the possibility of reparations for American descendants of slavery or black people generally. We hope you enjoy and Walter will be able to make it.
