Something Different For The Russell Westbrook 0
Hooooooooooooooooooly Westbrook. In a week’s stretch, he’s averaging 40.7 ppg 11.3 apg 11.3 rpg 3 spg.
In my opinion, he’s the most electrifying, entertaining, athletic, and beastly athlete to grace the court in today’s NBA. As long as he continues this streak he’s been on, I refuse to stop talking about him becuase RUSSELL IS EVERYTHING. This includes the Oklahoma City point guard’s areas of expertise off the court.
Russell Westbrook’s Passion for Fashion
It seems like it was just yesterday when Charles Barkley and the “Inside The NBA” crew ridiculed Russ for walking into the arena wearing lensless red frames with the collared white shirt saturated with colorful boats. It was an absolute field day for Chuck and crew, as Westbrook somewhat did resemble a 4th grader on picture day.
That was then, and this is now. In 2015, it seems you can’t watch a Thunder game without witnessing his ‘half-naked strut’ commercial promoting “True Religion” (which I might add, you can totally uncomfortably see the top of his buttocks… it still leaves me puzzled as to how he got away with that). All in all, people know #0 cares about what he wears and has an immense #PassionForFashion.
Westbrook 0 By Jordan Brand
Recently, images of the “Westbrook 0” have leaked as if it were a new rap album. Although the now 4-time all-star has been endorsed by the Jordan brand for a few years, he’s never had his official signature shoe… until now.
But he wouldn’t be Russell Westbrook if he didn’t take his own unique approach regarding his fashion choices now would he? The “Westbrook 0” presents a more casual style of sneaker that actually (most likely and I’m assuming) won’t see him sport on the court.
It’s a very unorthodox approach as an athlete has never dedicated his signature kicks to a sneaker that cannot be used in game on the hardwood. They actually creepily resemble the new Adidas Yeezy Boost if you ask me.
With fashion and the NBA so intertwined these days, I actually applaud Russell for his approach in trying to revolutionize the way players release their signature sneaker. If someone has to be a trail blazer, why not him? #Russ4MVP
