I Got You: Week 4 Fantasy Recap
We’re in 8 leagues. These are our thoughts week to week.
Fantasy Record through Week 4: 10-22
Quarterbacks
Jameis was awful and can probably be safely subordinated by Mariota if you followed that strategy. Cam was just ok and Rodgers was Rodgers. Drew Brees was respectable, and Hasselbeck replacing Luck could’ve been worse. Again, on any given week, quarterbacks are a dime a dozen.
Running Backs
Devonta Freeman is the real deal, and Karlos Williams looks like he gets better and better. T.J. Yeldon and Matt Forte had the workhorse type games you want though with no td, and Isaiah Crowell was productive. Jonathan Stewart, Melvin Gordon underwhelmed, but I still stress patience as Gates is back this week which should open some lanes up for him. Hit or miss LaTavius Murray was a miss this week.
Wide Receivers
ODB underwhelmed, and Alshon was out once again. Jarvis Landry and Allen Robinson were ok. Outside of Randal Cobb, the group has been disappointing.
Tight Ends
We decided to go with Maxx Williams this week and it was an epic fail. Did I mention how much I liked Gronk this year.
Week 4
5-3 this past week means we continue to improve. Welcome back Martavis Bryant, and look for people confused on the Buffalo situation to make mistakes dropping McCoy in 8 man leagues, and Williams in even deeper leagues. I think we can view Tavon Austin as the real deal in St. Louis, and Andre Johnson is out in Indianapolis which should benefit Phillip Dorsett provided that Andrew Luck is healthy. The Panthers, Dolphins, Vikings and Jets all have byes this week meaning replacements will need to be found for Cam and Greg Olsen, Jarvis Landry and Lamar Miller, Adrian Peterson, Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker and Chris Ivory. I like Tavon Austin and Ty Montgomery, Boobie Dixon (who will start if Williams and McCoy can’t go) and Crockett Gilmore.
