I Got You: Week 3 Fantasy Recap
We’re in 8 leagues. These are our thoughts week to week.
Fantasy Record through Week 2: 8-16
Quarterbacks
Rodgers, Jameis and Cam were our quarterbacks. Cam and Rodgers were exceptional. Jameis was not great. It’s clear that Marcus Mariota is the better fantasy player this year as Tennessee has no running game. I’d also look at Tyrod as well if Jameis is pegged as your starter.
Running Backs
Melvin Gordon, Jonathan Stewart, Andre Ellington (autodrafted twice) and T.J. Yeldon were all terrible. Gordon is in a straight timeshare with Danny Woodhead and it’s killing his value. What looked to be 20-25 touches for him now look to be more like 15 touches. Andre Ellington is back this week after Chris Johnson and David Johnson held down the fort once again. Jonathan Stewart continues to look ok though touchdowns will be hard to come by. T.J. Yeldon never really had a chance as Jacksonville fell behind early and had to throw. I’m beginning to worry about this group as they were picked to score touchdowns. The autodrafted Ellington who i was low on actually gives the group some hope.
Wide Receivers
Odell Beckham, DeSean Jackson, Charles Johnson, Alshon Jeffery (autodrafted), Jarvis Landry and DaVante Adams were not great this week. Jarvis Landry will go as Ryan Tannehill goes, and ODB was productive though Reuben Randle ate into some of his targets. DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery will be back this week while Charles Johnson should be dropped as Teddy Bridgewater may not be who I thought he was. The DaVante Adams injury has made Ty Montgomery a must pickup.
Tight Ends
Gronk got the 100 yds but no touchdown last week though they tried. While he’s on a bye this week, there are decent tight end options. Think high powered offenses so guys like Richard Rodgers or Jacob Tamme come to mind.
Week 3
4-4 means we are getting better each week. Remember to put DeSean and Alshon Jeffery into your lineups for week 4 as well as Rams number one wide receiver Brian Quick. After this week, we will evaluate what, if any, trades we would like to make.
