I Got You: Week 2 Fantasy Recap
We’re in 8 leagues. These are our thoughts week to week.
Fantasy Record through Week 2: 4-12
Quarterbacks
Rodgers, Jameis and Romo are our quarterbacks. 2 out of 3 were serviceable per usual. Obviously Romo being out hurts, but we are low on quarterbacks or high on all quarterbacks depending upon your perspecive.
Running Backs
Melvin Gordon, Jonathan Stewart, Andre Ellington (autodrafted twice) and T.J. Yeldon were much improved from last week. Gordon looks like he might be the explosive back we thought he would be. The injured Andre Ellington and his replacement Chris Johnson both have a problem in the name of rookie beast David Johnson who returned a kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown and had 5 carries for 42 yards and another touchdown. Jonathan Stewart looked ok again though i’s disturbing that Cam is snaking goal line carries. T.J. Yeldon looked great as the focal point of Jacksonville’s offense. Much better performance this week from this collective and heir injury replacements.
Wide Receivers
Odell Beckham, DeSean Jackson, Charles Johnson, Alshon Jeffery (autodrafted), Jarvis Landry, Charles Johnson and DaVante Adams were also better as a group this week. Jarvis Landry had another big day, and we got the ODB from last year. The DeSean injury is for another 2 weeks, Bridgewater sill could not find Charles Johnson, and James Jones’ connection with Aaron Rodgers DaVante Adams’ plans. Alshon Jeffery will have to be monitored week to week now with his injury as well
Tight Ends
Gronk was featured in the red zone and between the 20s. He ran after the catch and the receiving corp is thin in New England. Double digit points from Gronk weekly should be the standard.
That’s what I wrote last week. Nothing changed. I don’t think it will this year.
Week 1
3-5 was better this week, but still not where we want to be. Look for viable replacements for Tony Romo. Make sure you reintegrate Leveon Bell and think about bailing on C.J. Anderson, but hold strong on DeMarco Murray. Anderson has competition in Hlllman. Murray has had no chance to do anything. This has to be his bottom.
