I Got You: Fantasy Football 2015 – Round 1, Pick 6
We use a 12 team snake draft in the Yahoo Fantasy Football format.
Round 1, Pick 6
This is a prime position to grab Gronk, my number one overall player in this year’s draft. When looking at position, it’s really a no brainer.
Round 2, Pick 19
Was able to grab one of the top 2 first tier quarterbacks on my board in Aaron Rodgers. This is ideally what my first two rounds will look like in drafts. I want Gronk and one of Luck or Rodgers.
Round 3, Pick 30
Oakland running back Latavius Murray finished last year incredibly strong He is the undisputed centerpiece of a run heavy offense Raider offense with a 2nd year quarterback, and rookie lead receiver. I am a sucker for measurables as well, and at 6’3 230 lbs, he was my guy.
Round 4, Pick 43
Brandin Cooks is New Orleans’ lead receiver. He is who Drew Brees will be looking for when he drops back to pass. It’s still Sean Payton.
Round 5, Pick 54
DeSean Jackson is now the 1. He is playing the A.J. Green position in the Jay Gruden offense. RG III, for all of his faults, can throw the deep ball.
Round 6, Pick 67
Sammy Watkins is one of three whole options in the buffalo offense. LeSean McCoy will run the ball, and Percy Harvin will be for wrinkles. Rex Ryan is not Bill Walsh.
Round 7, Pick 78
Rashad Jennings is technically the gains lead back though you should expect to see shane vereen on passing situations, 2 minute drills, and even some goal line. Jennings has looked good in camp his far.
Round 8, Pick 91
I auto drafted Denver kicker Connor Barth which was obviously a mistake. It’s important to be able to recover in case you lose connection, accidentally pick the wrong person, or just run out of time.
Round 9, Pick 102
Isaiah Crowell is the favorite to be the Browns starter though I have it on good word that he is untrustworthy. Still, he is the most talented of their runners.
Round 10, Pick 115
I auto drafted the New England defense. As a reminder, save kickers and defenses for the last two picks of your draft.
Round 11, Pick 126
Duke Johnson Jr. will challenge Isaiah Crowell for the starter. At he very least, he is a better receiver and outside runner than crowell.
Round 12, Pick 139
Tre Mason is actually the starter for the Rams until Todd Gurley is completely healthy. Even when Gurley is back, he will be on a “pitch count”
Round 13, Pick 150
Percy Harvin will be the Swiss Army Knife in Buffalo on special teams, out of the backfield and in the slot. He has even learned how to run routs.
Round 14, Pick 163
Reggie Bush is in a platoon with Carlos Hyde in the 49ers effort to replace Frank Gore. True handcuffs are great for trading or great, late round production in case of injury or benching.
Round 15, Pick 174
Darren McFadden is oft injured and hurt. Having an opportunity to run behind the best offensive line in football is worth a late round flyer.
Normally, you want to avoid two mistakes in a draft, but knowledge of the players is crucial in overcoming mistakes. Here is what my final roster looks like:
