Fantasy Football: 9th Pick
Round 1 Pick 9
I was able to get Jimmy Graham with the 9th pick. I think this is too late for him to still be available, but I was happy nonetheless.
Round 2 Pick 16
I drafted Peyton here as Brees and Rodgers had already been drafted. I now have the top tight end and quarterback from last year through the first two rounds.
Round 3 Pick 33
I took Victor Cruz here. He is Eli’s main target in an offense with no real tight end and two inexperienced receivers flanking him.
Round 4 Pick 40
I was looking at Toby Gerhardt and Andre Johnson here, but they were both taken in the two picks directly before me. I ended up with, DeSean Jackson in the 4th round. Who knew?
Round 5 Pick 57
In need of a running back, I drafted Trent Richardson here. Looking at Andrew Luck in the Colts last preseason game versus the Giants, the Colts will be in the red zone all year. Riichardson will be scoring touchdowns even if he is ineffective running the ball.
Round 6 Pick 64
I actually had a dilemma between Joique Bell and Marques Colston here. Both are in good offenses with good quarterbacks, so positional need was prioritized. I drafted Bell.
Round 7 Pick 81
My choice was between explosive rookie receiver Brandin Cooks and Steven Jackson. Cooks was drafted the pick before me, so Jackson ended up being the default choice completing my running back corp.
Round 8 Pick 90
Here, there were no receivers of value to be drafted. I could’ve reached for Tampa rookie Mike Evans, but I felt there was a good chance he would be there next round. The pick here was Miami every down quarterback LaMar Miller.
Mike Evans (9th) rounded out my receiving corp. Devonta Freeman (10th) was then handcuffed to Steven Jackson. I was able to get Carolina lead receiver Kelvin Benjamin (11th) and starting running back DeAngelo Williams (12th). I then handcuffed Knowshon Moreno (13th) to LaMar Miller in Miami.
