Fantasy Football: 2nd pick
Round 1 Pick 2
Lesean McCoy went 1st. I took Adrian Peterson with the 2nd pick. All day.
Round 2 Pick 23
Julio Jones was the pick here. I think Atlanta is a favorable fantasy play as Tampa, Carolina and New Orleans all have new defenses or secondaries in flux.
Round 3 Pick 26
Randall Cobb went at Pick 25. Victor Cruz was the easy choice here.
Round 4 Pick 47
I got DeSean Jackson here. We can safely say at this point that he has 4th round value. My receiving corp is now complete as I have three of the 7 receivers I had targeted.
Round 5 Pick 50
This was the Matt Stafford/Jordan Cameron dilemma again. I was very tempted to take Stafford, but Cameron is the play. His value does not suffer whether it’s Hoyer or Manziel.
Round 6 Pick 71
I had a choice between Tom Brady and Trent Richardson here. I chose Richardson hoping to get Brady on the turn.
Round 7 Pick 74
Unfortunately, I got burned and lost Brady at the turn. Now my choice is between Jay Cutler and Marques Colston. I chose Colston as he has a rapport with Drew Brees and is 100% healthy this year.
Round 8 Pick 95
I was looking for Reggie Wayne here, but ended up with Steven Jackson. It seems like Wayne can be penciled in as 7th round value. I have gotten jackson anywhere from the 7th to 10th round.
I was able to get LaMar Miller (9th) and Steven Jackson handcuff Devonta Freeman (10th) to bolster my running back corp. Ben Roethlisberger (11th) is a great late quarterback. Last year, Roethlisberger played 16 games and had the most pass attempts in his career. It seems like he and Todd Haley are finally on the same page, and Antonio Brown is a legit go to guy. DeAngelo Williams (12th) and Johnny Football (13th) rounded out the draft.
