KTB presents Episode 3 of “Choppin’ It Up” with Adrian Prelvukaj, This week, Adrian sits with Sotirios Papazaharias (is that a mouthful or what?), the self-proclaimed Greek legend, who majored in Nutrition Science (pre-med) at Syracuse University. Last week, Adrian went in depth with NBA contenders and hip-hop albums dropping in 2015.

Sotirios goes in depth on the struggles of maintaining a solid GPA while taking challenging courses. He explains his “Fashion for Fitness” and why he got so interested in the field of medicine and exercise. This only set the tone for about a quarter of the conversation as we tackle the importance of being able to perform, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and an abundance of TV shows.
In college, if Soto (short for Sotirios) wasn’t bumping J. Cole, you knew he was listening to King Kendrick. I thought it would be interesting to hear his take on the controversial “Control” verse that set the hip hop world on fire, so we dissected it and had the luxury of hearing his analysis on it. He continued to mention a memorable Kendrick concert we attended in Brooklyn about 4 years ago, where he explains the value of having an intimate performance.
If Soto were in Syracuse and you couldn’t find him scooping your girl at Chuck’s (college bar on campus) then he most likely was in his room (or your girl’s room) enjoying a television series. A “Breaking Bad” poster of Bryan Cranston in the desert remains engraved in my mind when I would visit Soto’s room. Aside from discussing the conclusion of Breaking Bad, we discuss an array of new shows he is now a fan of such as “Marco Polo” which is now streaming on Netflix. Oh and how can I forget, I also ramble on for a while about how “The Sopranos” is the best TV series in the history of television. Aside from the TV and pre-med banter, please enjoy this laid back discussion between two good pals.
