On my very first video premiere, I decided to take what I’ve talked about on print into action. I’ve discussed many different strategies that can be applied to grocery shopping in normal supermarkets all the way up to wholesale warehouses, and I’ve discussed my preferred methods and techniques regarding meal prepping.

In this video, I took the audience with me to Publix (a beloved Florida food store), and showed exactly how I maneuvered my way around the market, and I noted on a few tips along the way. For example, I entered the aisles (which we are commonly told not to do), and I limited my expenses to what I would use immediately. This was primarily to save time and money.
 
Next, I ventured back to my apartment to show exactly what it is that I do for meal prepping. Typically, the entire process takes about an hour or two, given that I have all the supplies. This meal consisted of: sweet potatoes (my carb), chicken (my protein), brussel sprouts (my vegetable), and olive oil (my fat). I try to keep it as simple as possible, and from what I showed on the video, the cooking method is very simple as well.
 
The most complicated part, I find, is portioning everything out to fit ones needs. I mentioned my use of a scale (which is my preferred way to monitor my macronutrient intake), but you can just as easily use measuring cups, or even store everything all together in bulk. Meal prepping can be very simple or very complex, and is incredibly individual-based. Your goals and your schedule will dictate how you plan out your meals, but having a plan in general will save you a lot of stress and over-spending on last minute meals.
