Big Baller Brand Does Not Have Millions In Sales Thus Far
Nice Kicks did some legwork to refute the rumors that
Lavar Lonzo Ball’s ZO2 Prime had sold 5,000 pairs in as little as four hours after its initial release. Like most internet rumors, that turned out to be false.
Out of the 328 transactions that happened on BigBallerBrand.com in the first 24 hours that the shoes were offered for sale, a total of just 263 pairs of sneakers had sold in both signed and unsigned versions of the ZO2 Prime.
While there is little to no access to sales receipts, transactions or traffic data, monitoring the inventory levels of the footwear listed on BigBallerBrand.com is revealing. After noting the initial product levels at the start and deducting the current units sold, 210 pairs of unsigned ZO2 Primes had sold (103 pairs in size 8.5 alone), along with 53 autographed ZO2 Primes. Big Baller Brand
As someone who runs an online store, it should be noted that you can set the initial “Invoice Number” to be anything you would like. Some shopping cart tools do not give sequential invoice numbers, however their “designer” was kind enough to show they are using Shopify which does generate sequential order numbers.
One thing that is not accounted here is failed orders. Many times if an order is attempted but the payment is not authorized an order number may be applied but the order is never actually completed. This can sometimes account for dozens of order numbers that may not actually be completed.
I respect what the Balls are trying to do with Big Baller Brand though I think it is flawed. It’s definitely a tough industry especially when many of the most sought after shoes are retros of shoes from over 20 years ago in different colors.
